“Waves” was originally painted on an incense holder that was a bit smaller than this design, but it was SO much fun, and it really struck me as something very unique compared to the designs I’ve been creating recently. This piece just feels different somehow. And does it remind anyone else of old school nautical tattoos? Let me know if that’s just me! I typically have a list of other colour combos to try after creating a design, but for this one, my mind can’t seem to go past these ocean-y metallics. What other colour combos come to your mind?
This design is just under 7” in diameter and is painted on a circular cut of MDF. This design would fit well with a border on an 8” (or larger) surface.
