“Tropical 2” is a spin-off design from the Tropical candle holder pattern. I adapted the design originally to paint on the sides of some ceramic piggy banks, and that quickly evolved into this design on a 5’ stone. Make sure you’ve got a 6” square surface if you are painting on something flat like wood or canvas, I find these designs stretch out a bit when laid perfectly flat. I made this 5" stone from UltraCal30 gypsum plaster and a mould from Happy Dotting Company (www.happydottingcompany.com). I always find it a bit fascinating when I create a design that I just don't want to stop painting, like this one. I just wanna throw it on anything and everything! I think new colour combos will be coming too, and I’ll be sure to share and other evolutions with you on social media!
